About Us

The National Black Yellow Pages™ is working to become the "2nd Most Referenced Source For People Of Color" with the Bible, Koran or other religious source being number 1.

Our objectives are
:

1)
to create the most comprehensive guide on African Americans & Africans in the world,

2)
to become a preferred source for individuals, businesses and governmental organizations to effectively reach people of color and

3)
to facilitate the recycling of money back to the community.

The National Black Yellow Pages™ is over 20 years old and was founded in 1984 by Lloyd Edward Cleage and Oliver Jackson. The National Black Yellow Pages™ is copyrighted and privately held with a home office located in Columbia, Maryland. The directory was originally printed in a perfect bound book format on 50 pound 8 1/2" x 11" bond paper, with a canary yellow cover.

The National Black Yellow Pages™ serves as a single point of contact for satisfying the diverse needs of its consumer market for local business and organization referrals. The National Black Yellow Pages™ is an international network of consumers and businesses.

The National Black Yellow Pages™ facilitates the recycling of money back into the community by consumers buying from businesses within the community.

Many National Black Yellow Pages™ businesses offer consumer rewards and discounts when they shop at their neighborhood and Internet businesses. The National Black Yellow Pages™ also allows consumers the ability to earn residual income by referring family and friends to shop where they shop.

The National Black Yellow Pages™ is comprised of three (3) sections.

The Organization section lists national African American organizations (i.e.; business & trade, fraternities & sororities, health services, legal services, professional, religious, research, senior citizen, social service and veterans & military. In addition, it lists landmarks and museums by state and the historical black colleges and universities.

The Government section lists African American governors, judges, mayors, administrators, representatives and senators by state. All African American United States representatives are listed by state. This section also lists African American caucuses, African & Caribbean embassies and the presidents of African and Caribbean countries.

The Business section is a listing or display by directory heading and state primarily of African American & African businesses and salespersons.
