What Is The Role Of An Area Coordinator?
The Area Coordinator serves as the point of contact for their area. Your primary job as an Area Coordinator is to visit with local business owners. You introduce yourself as the Area Coordinator and let the business owner know that more and more people are using the Internet to find a local business.

In addition to sales coordination, the Area Coordinator keeps track of the following local information:

                    1) Landmarks and Museums
                    2) Elected Officials and Caucuses
                    3) Organizations
                    4) Businesses.

How Is My Area Defined?
Sales Representatives may sell in any area.  Each city, state or region in which an Area Coordinator is established has been examined as to demographics, density of business, population, competition, etc.  National Black Yellow Pages® Area Coordinators who wish to expand into multiple areas and hire sales staff may do so.

What Am I Receiving?
You receive:
Marketing rights of the National Black Yellow Pages®
            Sales commissions
            Marketing handbook
            Marketing/promotional support
            Corporate support

How Much Publishing Background Is Required?
None.  Your main skills need to be in the areas of sales, marketing and/or management.  We will guide you through all areas of publishing, sales, ad layout/design and business management.

Who Supplies The Listings?
Although the National Black Yellow Pages® will supply possible leads, it is the responsibility of the Sales Representative and Area Coordinator to secure listings.

There Already Is A Black Business Directory In My Market.
There sometimes is one black business directory in major markets.  Competition is intense in all areas of business.  In most cases the number of businesses who advertise in the above mentioned directories are only a small percentage of the total number of businesses available to advertise in the National Black Yellow Pages®.  Meaning...there is enough business for all of us.  In addition, National Black Yellow Pages® Sales Representatives and Area Coordinators are able to establish network memberships.

How Is The National Black Yellow Pages® Promoted?
Promotion is accomplished through the use of radio and television, newspapers, search engine registrations, direct mailings, exhibition at conferences and conventions, and word of mouth.

Do I Need An Office Right Away?
An office is not necessary.  National Black Yellow Pages® Sales Representatives and Area Coordinators may work out of their homes when getting started.  Once you begin to build a sales staff, a small office may be more convenient.

I Can't Draw A Straight Line, Could I Learn How To Design An Ad?
You certainly can and will learn how to create and lay out an effective ad.  The basics are rather simple.  You create a rough layout and our composition staff does the rest!

What Is My Investment In The National Black Yellow Pages®?
The initial cash investment to start the National Black Yellow Pages® opportunity is FREE for a Sales Representative and the Area Coordinator.

You must make at least 2 annual sales per month (listing or banner ad) to keep your rights as an Area Coordinator. In addition, if there is no sales activity for 3 consecutive months, your Area Coordinator designation is suspended.

How Are You Compensated?

Advertising Sales Program
Sales Representatives are paid 50% of all advertising sales they generate.

Sales Managers are paid 10% of the commissions paid to the Sales Representatives that they sponsor.

Area Coordinators are paid 10% of the commissions paid in their assigned area.

An Area Coordinator that is actively visiting businesses and has good sales experience should receive 1 or 2 sales in an afternoon. If you can type 20 to 50 business listings per day, at least 1 to 5 days a week, you can build your own highly profitable National Black Yellow Pages business!
