What is the National Black Yellow Pages®? Founded in 1984, the National Black Yellow Pages®® are part of a network of consumers and businesses throughout the world. Is the National Black Yellow Pages® free to join? Yes. National Black Yellow Pages® membership is free, becoming a Sales Representative is free and advertising as a merchant is free. What information do I need to provide in order to enroll? Basic information like name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. How is the Directory/Mall organized? The National Black Yellow Pages® has three (3) primary sections: - Organization - Government - Business. The Organization section lists: - National African-American Organizations - Business and Trade - Fraternities and Sororities - Health Services - Legal Services - Professional - Religious - Research - Senior Citizen - Social Service - Veterans and Military - Landmarks and Museums - Historical Black Colleges and Universities. The Government section lists: - African-American Elected Officials - Caucuses - Embassies. The Business section lists: - Businesses and Salespersons - Local Organizations. Go To Top Of Page What are commissions? Commissions are a fixed percentage of the sales that representatives are paid for selling products or services. What is a Sales Representative? A Sales Representative is an independent contractor who markets the products and services offered through the National Black Yellow Pages®. What is a Sales Manager? A Sales Manager is a Sales Representative who has sponsored one (1) Sales Representative. What is an Area Coordinator? An Area Coordinator is a Sales Representative who has acquired a designated sales area. How am I Compensated? Advertising Sales Program Sales Representatives are paid 50% of their advertising sales or a fixed amount of the other sales they generate. In addition, Sales Representatives are paid 50% of most monthly fees paid by their customers. Sales Managers are paid 10% of the commissions paid to the Sales Representatives that they sponsor.
